Chemistry Facts.

 Fact no' 1.

Why do old book smell so good?

Chemistry behind this.👇👇👇👇👇👇🥀

Smell of old book is due to the paper and ink in those Books.

As we all know that paper is made up of wood and wood is made up of organic compounds like cellulose and lignin.

Over the years these compounds reacts in the presence of light, heat and air and begin break down releasing VOC.

VOC means volatile organic compound.

These compounds easily vaporized and mixed in air, and thus forming smell of old book.

Organic compound called vanillin gives vanilla like smell.

Benzaldehyde give almond like smell.

Ethyl benzene gives a sweet smell.

This compound are mixed and gives good smell of old book's.

Fact no' 2.

Fact About Matter.

As we know that, there is some empty sapce in matter i.e in Solid, Liquid and gas.

If we remove the empty space from the matter, the whole word can be fit in the same size of an Apple.

Fact no' 3

Chemical compound resemble with penguin.

Penguinone is an organic compound with the molecular formula C₁₀H₁₄O.

Its name comes from the fact that its 2-dimensional molecular structure resembles a penguin.

The suffix "-one" indicates that it is a ketone.

The systematic name of the molecule is 3,4,4,5-tetramethylcyclohexa-2,5-dienone.

Fact no' 4

This pic is viral on internet with the name "too much IQ level in single pic".

All the scientists who developed the concept of chemistry are in a single photo its amazing.🤗

Fact no' 5

Fact about shaking hand.

As we know that atom or molecule cannot come close to each other which means that cannot touch each other because when two atom or molecule are close to another there is two kinds of force arises...force of attraction and repulsion...but at equilibrium. These two forces are become equal.

so technically we can say that if two people shake hand..... at atomic level they are not actually in touch.

Fact no' 6.

Fact about period table.

The letters “J” and “Q” are the only two letters not found on the periodic table. These letters do not occur in either element symbols or element names.

Fact no' 7.
If I say everything around us is in gaseous phase will you believe?

According to the quantum mechanics, if we analyse matter at the quantum level, we observed that each matter exist in gaseous phase.
But we see around us that the matter is solid, liquid or gas. So how can be its true that the matter at the quantum level is in gaseous phase.
Actually it is the mentality of our brain that whenever we see our brain makes it in the state of appearance what is should be in the real.

Fact no' 8

Fact about Carbon.

Did you know that your body contains enoug
Fact number 9

Fact about Burning candle.

⚡⚡⚡⚡Science behind flame of burning candle in the presence and absence of gravity.

Hot air is less dense than cold air.
The flame from a candle (or anything) rises up, as hot air is lighter than cold air and this could be easily felt in an environment where gravity exists.
In zero gravity, there is nothing to pull the cold air toward itself and hence nothing to push the hot air up and therefore, the flame is round.

Blue color signifies complete combustion. Meaning the wax vapors get completely burnt

Fact no' 10.

Do you know how fireflies glow?

Fireflies glow because they produce light by a biochemical reaction.
In the lower abdomen of fireflies, there is a
chemical called luciferin and an enzyme called luciferase.
When oxygen enters into their lower abdomen through tracheal tubes, it basically reacts with luciferin in the presence of luciferase.
This reaction produces light.
This production and emission of light by a
living organism is called bio luminescence. Bio luminescence is a cold light. This means the light produced generates very less heat. Thus, preventing the firefly's abdomen from getting overheated.
However, one more interesting fact is that not only adult fireflies but also their eggs and larvae are bio luminescent.
